Consultation has concluded

Due to public demand, one further Limestone Coast Drug Action Team community ice forum will be held in Mount Gambier.

Understanding The Ice Factor - Community information Forum

7 PM - Wednesday 19th August 2015.

Sir Robert Helpmann Theatre - 10 Watson Tce – Mount Gambier.

This final forum will screen footage of leading drug researcher Dr. Rebecca McKetin’s presentation made earlier this year and will also include local police, guest speakers and a live Q&A panel.

As we will be revisiting some of the content of the first forum, this event is primarily aimed at those who were not able to attend in February or similar events have been occurring in other parts of the region.

The forum aims to:

  • support our community to increase their awareness of crystal methamphetamine (ice), its use, Australian trends, community resilience and treatment options
  • provide access to evidence based research and examples of one Victorian community’s response to ice use issues; and
  • encourage our community to raise questions and concerns and gain responses from professionals.

The Forum is Free and RSVP’s are advisable by contacting the City of Mount Gambier on 8721 2555.

This forum is sponsored by The Rotary Club of Mount Gambier West.

The Limestone Coast Drug Action Team wish to thank all interested members of our community who made an effort to join us for the Understand the Ice Factor Community Information Forums.

The key links and fact sheets on this site are intended as a way of keeping our community abreast of the most up to date information we have available to us.
