What is a Strategic Plan and why do we have one?
The Strategic Plan is the overarching strategic document of City of Mount Gambier’s Strategic Planning and Reporting Framework. This Framework describes how strategic planning and reporting is developed and managed by Council to ensure the work it does contributes to the goals and aspirations of the Mount Gambier community as outlined in Mount Gambier 2035.
Council is required under the Local Government Act 1999 (SA) to review the suite of Strategic Management Plans within two years of a periodic election. The Strategic Plan review incorporates the development of the 2024- 2028 Strategic Plan, with consideration of Council’s Long-Term Financial Plan and Asset Management Plans.
